The ISSA World Social Security Forum (WSSF 2025) will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 29 September to 3 October 2025 at the following venue:

Shuttle

Shuttle between selected official hotels and Forum venue
The National Organizing Committee (NOC) will provide shuttle transport between some selected official hotels and the Forum venue (KLCC) from Sunday, 28 September to Friday, 3 October 2025. Shuttles will provide transportation before the morning working session and immediately after the afternoon working session as well as for the official social events. Please refer to the schedule at the bottom of the page.

There are two types of city taxi service: - Couponed service: Airport taxis operate through a coupon system that can be purchased at the respective counters at the terminals. - Metered service: Charges are based on the distance or time travelled.

Express train

Express train
The KLIA Ekspress, Kuala Lumpur’s fastest airport transfer, is a non-stop train transfer which connects the airport (KLIA1 and KLIA2) to the city centre, stopping at the KL Sentral Station in approximately 33 minutes. KL Sentral Station is a major transit hub. From there, you can connect easily by LRT/MRT/monorail/taxi/ride-hailing services to your destination.

Book a meeting room
Several meeting rooms are available to book for bilateral meetings with other ISSA member organizations. Contact: issa-wssf@ilo.org with your request.
Coffee breaks and lunches
The National Organizing Committee (NOC) will generously provide daily coffee breaks and lunches.
Social programme
Monday, 29 September 2025 (Hall 7, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre – KLCC, 18:30–20.30) Welcome dinner (business casual attire) At the invitation of the National Organizing Committee, Malaysia Thursday, 2 October 2025 (Saloma Kuala Lumpur, 18:00‒22:30) Gala dinner (semi casual for outdoor event) At the invitation of the National Organizing Committee, Malaysia Shuttles departing from Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) from 17:30 and returning from 22:30 to KLCC only. Saturday, 4 October 2025 (08:00–20:30) Excursion to PERKESO Rehabilitation Centre and Melaka Places were limited and pre-registration was required.
Languages
The working languages of the Forum are English, French, German and Spanish. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in these languages as well as in Arabic, Chinese and Russian.

Media accreditation
The Forum is open to accredited media. Representatives of the ISSA and social security experts will be available for interviews prior to and during the event. Requests for accreditation or interviews can be directed to the ISSA Communication Unit: ISSACOMM@ilo.org.
Currency
The currency in Malaysia is the Malaysian ringgit (MYR). As of 17 March 2025, the exchange rate is approximately: USD 1.00 = MYR 4.45 / MYR 1.00 = USD 0.23 EUR 1.00 = MYR 4.83 / MYR 1.00 = EUR 0.21 ATMs are widely available and most major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard and American Express are accepted throughout the country. Exchange money at banks and authorized exchange agencies.
Climate
The weather in September/October in Kuala Lumpur is hot and humid with an average minimum temperature of 24°C and a maximum one of 35°C.
Electricity
The voltage of the electricity in Malaysia is 230 volts (230V-240V); 50Hz. The electrical sockets are of the British standard type G (three rectangular pins in a triangular pattern). It is recommended to bring your adapter plug and if needed to bring a transformer for your equipment using different voltage.
