Working together to strengthen social security
The commitment of the social security institutions in Asia and the Pacific region to collaboration, international exchange and learning is reflected in their exceptional engagement in the ISSA.
The knowledge and experiences shared at the regional events, webinars and activities have supported the ISSA’s Asian and Pacific region members in strengthening collaboration, anticipating, and responding to key challenges, and becoming more resilient.
The ISSA regional community in numbers:
- The ISSA has 58 member institutions from 32 countries in Asia and the Pacific.
- Six regional structures are active in the region.
- Six Members have achieved 16 ISSA Recognition certificates
- ISSA has key partnerships with regional organizations, including Asian Development Bank, UN ESCAP, ASSA (ASEAN Social Security Organisation), AWCA (Asian Workers' Compensation Association), Pacific Islands Forum, ILO Regional Office for the Arab States, ILO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific
- Over 3192 representatives of members institutions from all corners of the region have contributed to, and participated in, ISSA webinars and other online events throughout 2023 and 2024.
