Cairo International Airport (CAI) is about 21 km from the Conference venue.

The Conference venue is located approximately 45 minutes by taxi from Cairo International Airport, depending on traffic conditions. For security reasons, it is recommended that you use only authorized taxi companies and avoid taxi offers at the exit. The fare for the white taxi is based on the Public Transport Authority’s tariff and standard meter. It accepts cash and sometimes electronic payments. Beware of the old black and white taxis without meter where prices must be negotiated before travelling.

Coffee breaks and lunches : The National Organizing Committee (NOC) will generously provide daily coffee breaks and lunches. Wednesday, 12 February 2025: REVISED / 17:45‒22:30: One hour guided tour of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization + Gala dinner at Semiramis InterContinental Cairo (walking distance of Ritz-Carlton) at the invitation of the National Organization for Social Insurance (NOSI). Please wear your badge. Shuttles will depart from Nile Ritz-Carlton Cairo at 17:45 to Museum and then to Semiramis InterContinental Cairo for the gala dinner. Shuttle only from InterContinental to Pyramisa Suites Hotel Cairo.

The working languages of the Conference will be English, French, German and Spanish. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in these languages, as well as in Arabic.

The currency in Cairo is the Egyptian pounds (EGP). As of 3 November 2024, the exchange rate is approximately: EGP 100.00 = USD 2.05 / USD 1.00 = EGP 48.84 EGP 100.00 = EUR 1.89 / EUR 1.00 = EGP 53.06 ATMs are widely available and most major credit cards such as Visa and MasterCard are widely accepted throughout the city. A very limited number of higher-end hotels and restaurants accepts American Express. It is recommended to check the maximum amount of withdrawals allowed per day from ATMs and to prefer banks to currency exchange offices, as commissions and rates may vary. It is also recommended to have cash for the payment of small amounts.

The weather in February in Cairo is mild with an average minimum temperature of 11°C and a maximum average of 20°C.

The voltage of the electricity in Egypt is 230 volts (220V-240V), 50 Hz. The electrical sockets are one of the two European standard types: the Europlug (Type C) and the Schuko (Type F). It is recommended to bring your adapter plug and if needed to bring a transformer for your equipment using different voltage.
